Hunting at Lion’s Den Gorge Nature Preserve

Gun and bow deer hunting is offered each fall at Lion's Den Gorge Nature Preserve County Park. The goal of this authorized, lottery gun deer hunting and bow deer hunting is to effectively manage the deer herd and provide for the health of the unique, native vegetation on the Park properties. A lottery gun deer hunt has been adopted to provide for the highest quality deer hunt. No other hunting, except as specified, is allowed on the Park property.
