The mission statement of Ozaukee County requires that the actions of county government, “will sustain and enhance the quality of life for all citizens.’  This mission obliges Ozaukee County to continue to uphold a commitment to equal opportunity and access, and to acknowledge the challenges that racial inequity create for county citizens in access to county services, county employment and county programming based on a shared level of respect for these basic civil rights.

As a leader of citizen, the county is compelled to enact the policies and practices that will focus the influence of county government to achieve racial equity, to normalize conversations about diversity, equality, equity and inclusion.

This work will advance Ozaukee County Government to work towards equity throughout the county knowing that these goals are within reach and will directly enhance the quality of life for all citizens.
