The Aging and Disability Resource Center has collaborated with Ozaukee County Human Services to provide community outreach for two vital programs for county residents. Home Energy+ includes the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program, which assists low-income individuals and families with heating costs, electric costs and energy crisis situations. Home Energy+ has been managed by Energy Services for the past seven years, but will be transitioned to Ozaukee County starting with the 2019-2020 heating season. Outreach events have been set up at many of the local apartment complexes in the county to help people complete applications for the program. About 800 applications have already been mailed to prior participants. Those applications can be mailed to the Human Services Department or processed at one of the outreach events.
