Tagging Species
Ozaukee County, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) and United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) are Passive Integrated Transponder (PIT) tagging fish in the Milwaukee River Watershed and tracking their movement through the Mequon-Thiensville Fishway using automated tag readers installed with the camera. These fish provide valuable information about spawning runs, travel distances, and general movement patterns.
