There is over 1.5
miles of gravel and boardwalk trails throughout the
park. To enjoy a nice walk on the
trails, you have to be willing to share them with the deer, birds
and other wildlife that frequent the park. The
view of lake Michigan can be spectacular especially in
the early morning hours. Picnickers can can enjoy
the view from the top of the Lake Michigan bluffs, or
the more adventurous hikers can visit the beach by
traveling down the the gorge stairs and bridges. A
viewing platform is also available for observing the
diverse wildlife that inhabits the 44-acre USFWS
Waterfowl Production Area that is adjacent to the park.
