This 7 acre property was purchased from Henry Ehler in 1951
for $1,500.
This park offers a frontage road along CTH W and
over 2,200 feet of shoreline along the Milwaukee
River to enjoy fishing or having a picnic with the
family. |
|
This small wayside park on the
Milwaukee River has been a scenic spot for
picnicking and fishing for many years. |
|
|
The
exposed shoreline along
Ehlers Park is often used as
a canoe launch or access
point for several public and
private groups participating
in annual 'Canoe Runs'.
With the recent removal of
Waubeka Dam in 2004,
the Milwaukee River is now
free-flowing for over 15
miles from Waubeka down to
Grafton. Houses appear
periodically along these
canoe trips, but the setting
is predominantly rural and
the shoreline is mostly
wooded.
Waubedonia Park
and
Tendick Nature Preserve
are also landing points for
canoes.
