SIGN OF THE TIMES

As the road sign at the edge of town indicated, Cedarburg’s population following the 1940 census was 2,245, only 10 higher than it was in 1860.  During the last fifty years, the size of the community has grown to over 10,000.  Doris Uhlig (now Mrs. Bert Pressman of Florida) was a 19 year-old art student at the Milwaukee State Teachers College at the time this photograph was taken.
