COUNTY FAIR

It was County
Fair time and there was lots of open space. The
¼ mile track at Firemen’s Park had not yet been
built. "Cedarburg" had been painted on the roof
of the grandstand. The 1941 Fair Street
"government project" was complete, but only a
few houses had been built in the "Third Avenue
Subdivision," which opened in 1945. Franklin
Street, Evergreen Boulevard and the Willowbrooke
Subdivision were not yet even a dream. |
