Serving Those Who Served America
Who We Are Federal Benefits WI Dept of Veterans Affairs

Mission

To provide assistance to veterans, and their families, in obtaining State of Wisconsin and Federal Department of Veterans Affairs Benefits.

Our office exists solely to provide services to the veteran and his family. In many cases this includes providing information, counseling, referral and assistance with the necessary paperwork associated with applying for benefits, whether it be local, state or federal.

Our office operation is funded by the taxpayers of Ozaukee County; there are never any charges associated with the services we provide.

Our office coordinates a transportation program for veteran who need assistance with getting to/from medical appointments at the Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee. There is nominal charge for this service.

We coordinate the countywide decoration of veterans’ graves prior to Memorial Day each year. The county provides the flags, as well as the flag holders.

We will assist you in registering your military discharge papers, or obtaining them if you have misplaced them.
