The Sheriff, as outlined in Wisconsin Statute, sells mortgaged property that has been foreclosed.
Sheriff Sales are normally conducted in the lobby
of the Clerk of Courts at the Justice Center on Mondays & Thursdays starting @
01:00 pm.

Successful bidders are required to have 10% of their bid in cash, money order or certified check at the time of the sale. The balance is due at the time of confirmation hearing. Successful bidder is also responsible for all legal liens, title searches, real estate transfer fees, encumbrances and unpaid real estate taxes.
Properties cannot be inspected prior to the sale. The prospective purchaser buys the property, more or less, "as is, where is." To find out more information on a property you may wish to contact the Ozaukee County Register of Deeds and/or the Treasurer's Office at 262-284-9411.
The bank, lending institution or their attorney will put the first bid. Anyone else can then bid on the property. The property goes to the highest bidder.
