Community Programs

The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department proudly sponsors Explorer Scout Post 9634 of the Bay Lakes Council, Boy Scots of America. The Post offers members an opportunity to learn about careers in law enforcement.

Our Ride-Along program gives civilians the opportunity to observe patrol activities

The Sheriff’s Citizens Academy offers a unique opportunity for civilians to learn about law enforcement techniques as well as gain valuable hands-on experience.

A cooperative effort of the Sheriff’s Department and several area colleges, this program allows college students to work with our staff while earning college credits.
Area clergy lead Bible studies and offer worship services to interested inmates.
Officers take the message “Say No To Drugs” to 5th and 6th graders in the area schools.
Officers teach novice hunters the State game laws and safety techniques for handling firearms.
Vacation home checks are available to residents who live within the Department’s patrol area.
