Council, Boy Scots of America. The Post offers members an opportunity
to learn about careers in law enforcement. |

civilians the opportunity to observe patrol activities |

The Sheriff’s Citizens Academy
offers a unique opportunity for civilians to learn about law
enforcement techniques as well as gain valuable hands-on experience. |

A cooperative effort of the Sheriff’s
Department and several area colleges, this program allows college
students to work with our staff while earning college credits. |

Area clergy lead Bible studies
and offer worship services to interested inmates. |

|
Officers take the message “Say No
To Drugs” to 5th and 6th graders in the area schools. |

|
Officers teach novice hunters the
State game laws and safety techniques for handling firearms. |

|
Vacation home checks are available to
residents who live within the Department’s patrol area. |

|
