The objective of the program is to provide low income, non-insured or under-insured children 0-18 years of age with preventative health examinations and screenings to achieve and maintain optimal health status. Services include: health history, vision and hearing screening, assessment of physical, dental and nutritional needs, assessment of growth and development, immunizations as needed, blood hemoglobin testing and lead testing for children 6 months through 5 years. Referrals are made to appropriate professional services when indicated. St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee and other physician groups are cooperating with the Health Department by furnishing physician services.
