Healthy Child

The objective of the program is to provide low income, non-insured or under-insured children 0-18 years of age with preventative health examinations and screenings to achieve and maintain optimal health status. Services include: health history, vision and hearing screening, assessment of physical, dental and nutritional needs, assessment of growth and development, immunizations as needed, blood hemoglobin testing and lead testing for children 6 months through 5 years. Referrals are made to appropriate professional services when indicated. St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee and other physician groups are cooperating with the Health Department by furnishing physician services. Clinics are held at various times throughout the year at the Administration Center. Please call the Public Health Department for further information or to make an appointment.
