Simply the Best!
“Truly a remarkable golf course.  Staff among the best in the nation.  The golf course is in excellent condition all year round.  The price is unbeatable.  What's not to like about it?”
Jon Wengel – GolfWisconsin.com

Hawthorne Hills Park and Golf Course is a result of outstanding foresight from Ozaukee County officials. In the early 1960’s county supervisors decided to purchase two dairy farms for use as a Park. The park was named Hawthorne Hills County Park and consists of a golf course, Herb Peters Youth Camp, and Pioneer village.

The golf course opened for 9 holes of play in 1964 with the Youth Camp and Pioneer village being completed at approximately the same time. A third dairy farm was purchased shortly thereafter and a second 9 holes was completed in 1968.

The golf course was designed by Lee Egelhoff and is built on approximately 200 acres.  OBLIQUE AERIAL VIEWS of course.
