dedicated service given by him to the citizens of Ozaukee
County.
Time capsule opening of the Old Jail from
1955
Supervisor Ted Egelhoff assists Captains Jerry Ebert and Dave Guss
with the contents of the 1955 time capsule from the Old County Jail.
The contents of the time capsule included many items:
1954 Court Calendar of Judge Peter Huiras,
Calendar for the regular term of the Circuit Court,
William C. O'Connell Circuit Court Judge, Oct 1954
Catalog of County Board of Proceedings from 1953,
Directory of Public Officials from 1954,
Cards from various county officials including Treasurer
Max Gunther, Clerk of Court Frank Wilson
$10 certificate of legal tender from the Confederate
States of America donated by Treasurer Gunther,
Jan 6, 1955 edition of the Ozaukee Press selling for 10
cents.
The newspaper featured Miss Gladys Thomes of Belgium on the
cover, winner of the Ozaukee Press beauty contest. Vern Arendt
had the tough job of taking the photo
