Economic Support/Financial and Employment Planning

The Economic Support/Financial and Employment Programs help people to meet their basic needs while promoting self-sufficiency through various services.  In addition to the information and links below, Wisconsin has developed a website called   --  Access to Eligibility Support Services for Health and Nutrition.  This website is a quick and easy way for people who live in Wisconsin to see if they might be able to get help through Wisconsin’s health and nutrition programs.

Description

replaced the Food Stamp Program in Wisconsin in October of 2004.  Benefits are credited monthly to recipient accounts that are accessed with magnetic swipe cards at participating grocery stores.
BadgerCare+

offers comprehensive, affordable health care to many families and pregnant women.  BadgerCare Plus is for all children under 19 years of age, regardless of income.

also called medical assistance or Title 19, pays for medical care of elderly, blind and disabled individuals and families that meet income and asset guidelines.   This includes coverage for nursing homes and family Care

Child Care Assistance

for parents who are working and need help paying for care for children 12 or younger.
helps low-income individuals and families pay for a portion of their home heating bills, based on monthly income.
