  Human Services - Child Protective Services

Unit Supervisor: Marian Ballos

 
The Child Protective Services Unit can provide:

Information and Referral to parents or families to help them find community resources and services to enhance the health and welfare of their children

Child Protective Services for the families of children who are victims of abuse/neglect, or at risk of becoming affected by abuse or neglect.   Specific services are planned jointly by family members and social workers, and can be coordinated with other agencies.  Services can also be court ordered.

Child Care Certification certification for in-home day care services

Family Support Workers to assist families dealing with specific stressful issues such as ADD/ADHD, child growth and development issues, unique transportation needs, child behavior issues or to provide mentoring

Crisis Respite Day Care as determined necessary for families with medical emergencies, affected by child abuse/neglect, or at risk.

Kinship Care Program is a funding source for a child/children living with a relative & meeting specific statutory requirements.
