  Human Services - Adult and Elderly Services

Unit Supervisor: Erin Gutsmiedl

Stay-At-Home Services: Assessments for elderly and physically disabled adults to determine needs, preferences and available services to enable them to remain in their homes rather than move to nursing homes.  Assessment includes determination of eligibility for federal, state, and county-funded programs. Case management is provided to individuals who receive services through the Adult Services Unit.

For eligible persons, funding for the following services may be available:

homemaker services

home health services

adult day care

Lifeline

respite for family members

chore services

For eligible persons, funding for the following alternative living services may be available:

 adult family homes

 group homes

 supportive care

Adult Protection Services for vulnerable adults who may be suffering from physical or financial abuse or may have become so confused that they need help in making medical or other decisions affecting their welfare.

Information and Referral is available to consumers to help them become aware of and access services in the community, and to help them in their everyday life.
