Mission

The mission of the countywide Level B hazardous material emergency response team is to protect the lives and safety of the public; stabilize emergency conditions by implementation of effective control and containment methodologies; and protect the environment from uncontrolled chemical releases or potential emergency releases of hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

When called out to an incident involving hazardous materials or potential hazardous materials, the team will:  Gather information, estimate potential course & harm, determine strategic goals & objectives, assess tactical options & resources, plan & implement, evaluate the implementation, review strategic goals and coordinate clean-up and environmental restoration.
