Legislative Committee – 1989 -2004

Oversee and approve all statewide legislation regarding Ozaukee County and maintain a relationship with other counties in southeastern Wisconsin

Personnel Committee – 1988 – 2000

            In addition to the normal duties, the committee 

            Negotiated over 13 organized labor contracts

            Negotiated countywide health insurance for 12 years

Insurance and Official Bounds Committee – 1988 – 2000

Transportation Coordination – 1988 – 1990

Local Emergency Planning Committee – 1989 – 1992 and 2006 – Present

Tax Incremental District Joint Review Board – 1991 – 1993

Radio System User Group – 1991 – 2004

            In addition to the normal duties:

Established communications protocol and system specifications along with individual radio personalities 

Tax Incremental Finance Committee for Cedarburg TIF – 1992 – 1994 

Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation Claims Committee:  1995 – Present

            Responsible for reviewing all liability and property loss claims from all counties statewide, served by WCA Mutual Insurance

Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Group Health Trust Claims Review Committee – 1992 to 2004 and 2006 to Present

Responsible for reviewing any contested health claims for all counties under the WCA Group Health Trust Insurance

Work/Profession History:

1965 – Present:  Delta Satellite Corporation (Established 1965) – Chairman/Secretary, involved in distribution of satellite earth stations, investments in cellular telephone license and FCC applications, high speed video tape duplication, world trade.  Instrumental in obtaining federal legislation on making satellite reception legal. 

1962 - Present:  G. H. Wirth, Inc. (Established 1865) – President/Chairman, originally a general store, now commercial and residential real estate.

1972 – Present:  Dorminhei Corp. (formerly Draco Labs, Inc.) – Chairman/Secretary, engineering and production of electronic equipment.  Engineered and built the first microprocessor controlled consumer product (CPU 100 FM tuner).  Presently, investments.

1986 – Present:  Skycable Inc. – Chairman/Secretary, involved in satellite program distribution direct to home video and audio programs.

1989 – 2000:  Global Cellular Corp. – Vice President, nationwide license, 5 channel 220 MHz, digital voice/data SSB. 

1993 – 1999:  General MetalWorks, Corporation – President, metal fabricator serving as subcontractor to many world known companies.  

1963 – 1978:  Echo Communications Inc. – President/Chairman, one of the world’s largest suppliers of communications equipment. 

1967 – 1978:  KRIS, Inc. – President/Chairman/Director – Electronic manufacturing for consumer market, with offices in Europe and wholly owned facility in Japan. 

1978 – 1981:  Technidyne – Director, a worldwide manufacturer and importer of electronic consumer products and wireless communication devices. 

1982 – 1985:  Telefind Corporation – Director, a worldwide paging network and patent holders of message storing and forwarding, using push technology.

1984 – 1987:  Viewers First National – President, involved in video programming, licensing of programming to Amway Corporation and first to do satellite Pay-Per-View. 

1990 – 1993:  American Signal Corp. – President, manufacturer and international distributor of wide-area warning systems.

Other Civic, Professional, Social Affiliations

1998 – 2002 – Vice Chairman and 2002 – 2004 Chairman – Technology for Educational Achievement in Wisconsin (TEACH) Board:

This Board was responsible for providing the funds, technology and wiring to over 20,000 schoolrooms and libraries throughout Wisconsin for distant learning and high speed Internet and full motion video.

1999 – Present –Commissioner on Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission – Secretary 2004 – Present:

This commission is responsible for the planning of all infrastructures serving the people in southeastern Wisconsin

1992 – 1995 Member of Governor’s Blue Ribbon Telecommunications Task Force:

Task Force was responsible for changing the regulations to coincide with today’s technology and coordinated various technologies to work together
