Keynote Presenter - Ben Merens
Ben Merens is the host of
"At Issue" - a current events call-in program
which airs weekdays from 4 to 6 pm on 90.7FM
WHAD in Milwaukee and statewide on the Ideas
Network of Wisconsin Public Radio.
As a speaker to business,
civic and educational groups his message that
PEOPLE ARE DYING TO BE HEARD has inspired people
and changed their lives for the better. In
his new audio book of the same title, Merens
relates stories from his many experiences over
the years as a professed "in the moment"
listener.
Merens has worked in
print and broadcast journalism for 25 years in
New York, Chicago and Milwaukee. He also
has taught at Hofstra University, Columbia
College and Concordia University in Mequon,
Wisconsin. He holds a masters of science
degree in journalism from Northwestern
University's Medill School of Journalism and an
undergraduate degree from the University of
Wisconsin - Madison. His hobbies include
stand-up comedy and playing acoustic guitar.
