Youth leaders are an important part of the 4-H educational program.
4-Hers from 6th Grade and older can enroll in the Youth
Leadership project. As a youth leader, members can get involved at the
club, county and even the state levels.
Youth Leadership offers opportunities to have fun and developing
leadership skills while helping younger members learn skills, increase
their knowledge and work toward goals. As a youth leader, 4-Hers make
new friends and work with adult leaders in planning and teaching the
program for the project year.
4-H youth leadership is another way to "learn by doing."
Serving as a youth leader gives boys and girls a place in their
community, a chance to be recognized and a challenge to learn more about
people.
