Adult Leadership
4-H parents and other interested adults can work with 4-H as club
organizational leaders or as project and/or activity leaders. Club
organizational leaders can work as individuals or as part of a team.
They guide the 4-H members, encourage parents, help plan the clubs
yearly program, identify and work with adult and youth leaders,
supervise meetings and stay informed about and involved with the county
4-H program.
Adult project leaders share their knowledge and skill on a particular
subject with interested 4-H members. They plan and teach regularly
scheduled meetings, with the assistance of enrolled youth leaders. They
attend available project leader training sessions and encourage and
support their members throughout the 4-H year.
Some adults choose to lead club members participating in specific
activities, such as fund-raisers, Variety Show, sports activities,
picnics, parades, County Fair, community service projects, etc.
