Adult Involvement

4-H IS FOR ADULTS TOO!!

The 4-H organization is for youth working on practical, learn-by-doing educational projects and gaining valuable life experiences in a club setting.

But, 4-H is for adults too!  More than 300 adults volunteer to be 4-H club organizational, project and activity leaders in Ozaukee County each year.  You can interact with neighborhood youth, share a hobby, serve your community and develop skills, confidence and friendships with other adults who share your interests.

What does it take to be a 4-H leader?  If you are unique, enjoy working with others and have something to share with youth, you may be what we are looking for!  Call the UW – Extension Office in Port Washington to talk about volunteer possibilities.  (262) 284-8288 or (262) 238-8288 (metro)  All must complete a 4-H volunteer orientation and certification program before they can begin working the 4-H members.
