Medigap Helpline 
Provisions
The Medigap Helpline provides information on Medicare supplement policies approved by the Commissioner of Insurance as well as Medicare Plus Choice Health Plans, also known as Medicare Advantage Plans. Information is also available on long term care policies for nursing homes, home health care, or community based services. Insurance counselors are available to explain these policies and discuss individual situations.

Provisions
Provides a wide range of consumer publications, including topics of special interest to senior citizens, which can be ordered by calling OCI’s toll-free telephone number or by accessing them on the internet. Investigates insurance complaints and makes determinations on complainants’ cases. In addition, OCI examines the financial condition of insurance companies and reviews their corporate activities; also conducts licensing examinations for insurance agents, licenses agents, certain corporations and employee benefit administrators.
