Every person seeking public office needs to register with the appropriate filing officer as soon as the intent to run for office is known.
The Ozaukee County Clerk is the filing officer for the following offices:
County Board Supervisor County Clerk County Treasurer Sheriff Clerk of Circuit Court Register of Deeds Coroner
The Municipal Clerk is the filing officer for all Municipal Offices (Town, Village, or City offices). The School Board Clerk is the filing officer for School Board Members.
To register as a candidate for the November 8, 2016 General Election, submit a Campaign Registration Statement, Declaration of Candidacy, and Nomination Papers with the number of valid signatures to the County Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Nomination papers may not be circulated prior to April 15, 2016.
