Port Summer Musical Theatre is proud to have Mike in his first PST production. Mike shares with us the following:
"The following may sound too fantastic to be true, but it is. For inspiration in playing the role of Professor Harold Hill, I journeyed to Meredith Willson birthplace and his inspiration for "River City" - Mason City, Iowa. To my amazement, I found it was all there: the library, the town square, the Picnic Park and of course, the footbridge. I was fortunate indeed to meet Shirley Jones (who was in town for Meredith Willson Museum benefit concert) and Mrs. Meredith Willson. I got a bad case of butterflies when Mrs. Willson told me to do a little bit of "Trouble" in the parlor of the famed composer's boyhood home. Thank goodness "The Think System" really does work. Hope you enjoy our show - especially the librarians! (2005)
