Striving for a Tobacco-Free Ozaukee County

On July 5, 2010, all Wisconsin workplaces, including restaurants and bars went smoke-free because of the passing of the Statewide Smoke-Free Air Law. Despite this, adults and youth continue to smoke and use other tobacco products in Ozaukee County. The INVEST Tobacco Action Team is working to educate the community and to change the environment to prevent/reduce tobacco use.

The INVEST Tobacco Action Team is working in two  specific areas of tobacco. They include:
  • Educating multi-unit property owners/managers on the benefits of smoke-free policies.
  • Creating an awareness in communities about other tobacco products.
